About Us

My Tree Clothing Co began in 2015 from a simple moment of love and intention. While I was volunteering as a birth doula, I hosted a baby shower and had my daughter help decorate it with hand-painted onesies carrying prayers of peace—simple messages inspired by ancient Buddhist teachings. What began as heartfelt blessings for newborns soon sparked the idea for a line of t-shirts, magnets, buttons, patches, tote bags, stickers, and more—designed to inspire kindness, connection, and our shared humanity.

We believe everyone deserves reminders of their innate goodness and the chance to see that goodness in others. Our products are printed by Homeboy Silkscreen, a division of Homeboy Industries, in Los Angeles, supporting individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration. We also give back through monthly donations to nonprofits like the International Campaign for Tibet and A New Way of Life.

The International Campaign for Tibet promotes human rights and democratic freedoms for the Tibetan people. They advocate for political prisoners, report on conditions inside Tibet, support humanitarian aid, and work with governments and the public to push for peaceful solutions through dialogue with the Chinese government.

A New Way of Life, founded in 1998 by Susan Burton, began as a single recovery home in South L.A. and has grown into a holistic reentry program offering safe housing, legal support, career and education pathways, family reunification, and advocacy for women impacted by incarceration.

By supporting these organizations, we aim to extend mettā—loving-kindness—to our broader community, affirming that solidarity, dignity, and compassion are at the heart of what we do.
